Melie Bianco Fold-over

For the first time, our Bag of The Day is under $100
I spotted this Melie Bianco bag and knew immediately I needed it.

I rarely care for fold over style bags but this one stands alone. I love the lucite handle and optional shoulder strap.

Be & D - Woodstock Hobo

So, I've never really thought much of a Be & D bag. They just never managed to catch my eye.

Until tonight. I just spotted this Be & D "Woodstock Hobo." I am a huge fan of soft, supple leather and this one looks cuddly. I'd probably fill it with down and use it as a pillow.

I'm not particularly a hobo kind of person, I prefer satchels and totes. When it comes to hobos, I have a few prerequisites. One has been met; the fabrication needs to be both interesting and inviting.

Next, however, I look for some type of symmetry. This hobo is a bit askew. The short strap and tall body doesn't put this at the top of my wish list but the bag is definitely interesting.

The belt style detail near the top and rock'n'roll studs add a very current vibe.

One other thing I require, especially for an investment piece, is a great lining. This bag delivers with a sandy colored ultra-suede interior with a desirable number of pockets and compartments.

Overall, I give this Be & D hobo a 7/10

Lust it

Fendi's new suede take on their most covetable piece this season, the Suede Peekaboo Tote.

I adore the rustic look of this distressed suede. It reminds me of cowboys and Merle Haggard albums. Two things that bring on a wave of nostalgia for a former life on the range.

This innovative tote holds two main compartments. With the turnlock clasp closed, it poses as a simple top-handle bag. Opening the clasp on either side of the dividing bar reveals two seperate areas. The bag can be hand-carried, at the crook of the elbow or on the shoulder via detachable leather strap.

Stella McCartney Chain-detail Hobo

Meeting the hard-edged trend of this past season and of the current, this faux-leather hobo manages to combine a trendy bag with one of longevity.
Stella McCartney, known for her animal-friendly fashion, attempts making man-made leather into a luxe accessory.
Includes a matching detachable zippered pouch.
My personal take on this piece isn't sending me running to pick one up.
To me, nothing feels better than a butter soft leather bag with that gorgeous smell of cow-hyde.

How I would style it:
Pair it with a tissue-thin white t-shirt tucked into skin tight distressed jeans. Arm load of rock'n'roll bracelets and a fist full of mismatched rings and a staggering leather ankle boot.
