Lust it

I've been working one a few pieces off the site so I haven't made any updates in the last two days. I'm currently working on a decent size article roughly titled Balmainia.
In the mean time, I've taken a break to bring you a collection of pieces revolving around a macabre mood that has slowly but powerfully settled over the fashion industry right now.
I couldn't be happier. I love this dark predisposition designers are pulling from right now. Here are a few of my favorite pieces. More to come.

Steal it

The first of many daily Steals to come.

A fantastic statement necklace for $17.50 from Forever 21

Gaila Floral Bib Necklace

Tip: When it comes to budget friendly trendy jewelry, the bane of my existence is a piece that tarnishes after one wear making the low price immediately reflect poor quality. One thing I've learned is to coat the "golden," and "silver," pieces with a thin layer of nail polish top coat. Most importantly, coat the area of the piece that makes the most contact with your skin that is most prone to wearing away the finish

How I would style it: Two great ways that I love to see a statement necklace styled are both minimalistic yet edgy. Combine the piece with a nude colored cashmere pull-over and distressed jeans or liquid leggings. Another great way is a simple t-shirt dress in heather gray or light brown, bare legs and a platform bootie.

Back to School

Since I recently went back to school, I've found myself in the market for a versatile school bag. I prefer a combination of utilitarian and style and since those two elements can rarely coincide civilly, I end on the horns of a dilemna; how can I find a bag sturdy enough for books, stylish enough to make me excited to use it and within a realistic college students' budget?

I've compiled a list of contenders to help those that share my position.
